Our Mission
We support the Carpinteria Library in meeting the needs of our community.
Here are some of the improvements sponsored by the Friends:
- Purchased new carpeting for the Library
- Added new computers for use in the Homework Center
- Renovated the Homework Center/Community Room adding a sound system and Hearing Loop for the hearing impaired
- Funded bilingual outreach
- Funded the first annual Carpinteria Fiesta and other special programs held at the Library’s Community Room
- Support our monthly Family Arts program
- Purchased books to enhance the Children’s Collection
