Greetings to all supporters of the Friends of the Carpinteria Library!   The Friends of the Library is raising funds to purchase new computers for our library. The current computers, which are outdated and in very bad condition, are being used daily by many people in our community, from adults who do not have access to computers or the Internet in their own homes to the children who come in daily for the afterschool homework program. 

To raise these funds for much-needed new computers, we are raffling off one $500 gift certificate to Albertson's grocery store and one $500 gift certificate to Trader Joe's. Raffle tickets may be purchased at the Friends of the Library bookstore, at Montecito Bank and Trust and at some Thursday Farmers Markets. The cost is five dollars for one ticket or $20 for five tickets. The raffle will take place at the library on Saturday, November 5, when we will also be sponsoring a family arts program to celebrate the Day of the Dead.

We hope you will support this vital project by buying some tickets!  The gift cards will be valid at any Albertsons or Trader Joe's in California.
