Carpinteria Sharing Cultures Show and Tell

  • May 03, 2019
  • 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • the home of Larry Nimmer and Tara O’Reilly at 1040 A Linden Avenue in Carpinteria

Each participant will have about 5 minutes to informally tell the group about the thing they brought.  Afterwards, the other participants are invited to ask any questions.  For people that bring a food item, we’ll allow the other participants to sample the food.  (We will provide cutlery to taste a small portion).

The item to “show and tell” should have some personal significance with your family culture.  It could be a letter, memento, photographs, song, craft project, food item, etc.   You can bring a food item, a physical item or both.

Anybody is welcome to come by and watch if not actually participating.  Please contact Larry Nimmer with any questions at 805 708-4753 or larry@nimmer.net.  The program will coincide with First Friday and others are welcome to observe the program.

Mission Statement: Carpinteria Sharing Cultures is dedicated to sharing the rich diversity of cultures in Carpinteria and throughout the world.  Our purpose is to affirm and exchange all cultures in order to enrich our lives, affirm our personal identities and strengthen our shared community.
